Dr. Engels, an anesthesiologist by training, served as the CEO of Aligned Ortho, a private equity-backed orthopedic surgery MSO, from 2021 to 2024. During his tenure at Aligned, Dr. Engels grew provider count, revenues, and EBITDA by over 300%, recruited and built a high performing executive team, completed five acquisitions, grew ancillary services across diagnostic imaging, physical therapy, and urgent care and expanded into value-based care
Prior to joining Aligned Ortho, Dr. Engels served as a Market President for Mednax, where he managed 12 practices across four states with 800 providers and $260M in net patient service revenue (NPSR)
Dr. Engels attended the University of Virginia and Yale Medical School, did his residency in the Harvard System and has an MBA from the University of Tennessee
Laurent has more than 30 years of experience in consulting. He is currently a Senior Advisor to The Boston Consulting Group (BCG), a leading global consulting firm that works with leaders in business and society to tackle their most important challenges. Most recently, Laurent served as Senior Partner and Managing Director at BCG, where he focused on banking, technology, and analytics. Laurent also serves on the board of public companies and non-profit institutions including Fifth Third Bank, Laurentian Bank and International Rescue Committee.
Rasheed is the Chief Investment Officer at Hormel Investments GP LLC. In his capacity with HIGP, Rasheed serves on several portfolio company boards including boards for Frontline Wildfire Defense Systems and Archipelago Companies. Prior to HIGP, Rasheed worked as an Investment Associate and Portfolio Manager at ICA Fund (Impact Investment Fund focused on early-stage consumer brands and small businesses led by diverse founders), and in Institutional Distributions and Global Investment Research at Columbia Threadneedle Investments (Global Asset Management wing of Ameriprise Financial).
Rasheed holds a B.A. in Government and American Studies from Connecticut College and is an alumnus of the Posse Foundation.
Joshua is currently a Principal at Webster Equity Partners, focusing on healthcare services. Prior to joining Webster, Joshua was a Vice President at Greenhill & Co. where he focused on advising healthcare clients on buy-side and sell-side transactions. Prior to joining Greenhill, Joshua worked at Cain Brothers where he advised middle market healthcare companies on a range of M&A related engagements.
Joshua holds a BBA in Finance from Temple University and an MBA from NYU Stern School of Business.
Mike currently serves as Vice President of Development at BrightView, a leading outpatient addiction treatment provider, offering accessible, evidence-based care through a nationwide network of clinics. He previously worked as an Associate on Shore Capital’s investment team where he focused on conducting due diligence on new investment opportunities and implementing value creation initiatives within portfolio investments. Before that, he worked as an Analyst at Jefferies in their healthcare investment banking group.

Nick is the Managing Partner at Tuckerman Capital. Tuckerman has focused on small buyout investments for over 20 years and was a pioneer investor with hands-on independent private equity sponsors and entrepreneurial small company executives. Prior to joining Tuckerman, Nick began his career as a strategic advisor helping owners and managers build value in private equity and corporate portfolios. Nick is an adjunct faculty member at the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth where he teaches and mentors MBAs on the craft of investing in and building smaller businesses.
As the Managing Partner of 74 North Capital, Adem oversees investment sourcing and valuation, transaction structuring, acquisition financing, fundraising, and value creation strategies. Adem brings over a decade of experience in private equity and financial services.
Before founding 74 North Capital, Adem worked as an investment professional at Blue Wolf Capital, a New York-based private equity firm managing approximately $2.9 billion in AUM, where he covered healthcare, industrial services, and niche manufacturing. Prior to his role at Blue Wolf, Adem was with FSN Capital, a Northern European private equity firm with more than €4 billion in AUM, where he helped execute the firm’s first healthcare platform investment.
Adem previously worked at Zoscales Partners, a Danish-owned private equity firm focused on East Africa and based in Ethiopia. He began his professional journey at JP Morgan, specializing in financial derivatives.
Adem holds a B.S. in Molecular Biology from Connecticut College and earned a publication with the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons for his research with Mount Sinai Hospital (New York). He also holds an MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and is an alumnus of the A Better Chance program.
